Lost and Found Productions presents

Elizabeth Rex

June 22 – July 14, 2018

Lost and Found Productions is thrilled to present the first show of their third season – Timothy Findley’s Elizabeth Rex.

About the show: What makes a man a man and a woman a woman?  On the eve of her former lover’s execution, Queen Elizabeth I visits Shakespeare and his company. When she meets Ned, Shakespeare’s brilliant performer of women’s roles, the actor, the playwright and the queen come to startling revelations about sex, identity, humanity, and love.

Offers Director Patrick Brownson, “Elizabeth Rex is one of the most fascinating plays I’ve ever read. I’m a sucker for anything Elizabeth I-related, and this play does such a marvelous job presenting her in all her many facets. It also combines sexuality, gender roles and politics in a way that’s perhaps even more relevant today than it was when it was first written.”

Elizabeth Rex features the talents of: Margaret Cassart as Queen Elizabeth I, Owen Niland as William Shakespeare, Sean Guderian as Ned Lowenscroft, Seth Palmer Harris as Jonathan Edmund, Christian Munck as Matthew Welles, Annaliese Farmer as Lady Mary Stanley, Kevin Durkin as Percy Gower, Frankie Millingotn as Henry Pearle, Mike Martinkus as Tom Travis, Ben Butler as Benjamin Herlie, Sophie Handy as Kate Tardwell, Mary Campbell as Anne, Countess of Henslowe, Colin Ahern as Luddy Beddoes, Clint Heyn as Lord Robert Cecil and Kayla Smith as The Bear.

Lost and Found Productions presents Timothy Findley’s Elizabeth Rex. Performances will be June 22 through July 14 with shows Friday and Saturday nights at 7:30 PM. All performances will be at The Bug Theatre at 3654 Navajo Street in Denver. Tickets and more information available online at
