Colorism:  Breaking the Chains of Complexion

5280 Artist Coop strives to present thought provoking original works that entertain and challenge the audience engage in the experience of theatre. Our first production, Colorism, written by Kenya Fashaw, challenges the notion of intra-racial discrimination based on skin tone. 

The stage play, “Colorism – Breaking the Chains of Complexion”, thoughtfully explores the dynamics of intra-racial discrimination. Come hear the compelling stories told by Dark and Light Skin Brothers and Sisters, that will make you laugh and tear your emotions to the bone.

COLORISM is presented by 5280 Artist Co-op and is intriguing audiences now through February 25th. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30pm, Sunday matinees at 2:30pm.
