Regional Premiere

In a parallel universe set during the 2008 national primaries, we meet Hillary Clinton as she navigates through her troubled campaign for President of the United States. The gang’s all there — campaign strategists, her husband Bill, and even Barack Obama. Sound familiar? However, this is a universe with infinite possibilities…one where anything might happen. History, gender, relationships and a flip-of-the-coin all come into play in Hillary and Clinton, in her quest to become the first female President of the United States. With the upcoming 2020 election squarely before us, looking back through this myriad of “what-ifs” proves to be both insightful and entertaining in this Regional Premiere by award-winning playwright Lucas Hnath. Featuring beloved company members Dee Covington, Eric Sandvold, Cajardo Lindsey and Josh Robinson.

May 1 – June 5, 2021

Our grand re-opening of LIVE THEATRE!

World Premiere commissioned and developed by Curious

The theatrical event of the season, Refuge weaves passionate and driving original music with the charm of artistic puppetry to share a bilingual tale of determination, grit, and hope. Magical realism allows this multi-disciplinary play to tackle the immigration crisis through a beautiful, unique lens. Chronicling the harrowing journey of one young Honduran girl as she crosses the US border into the inhospitable, barren land of Texas, Refuge is an exploration of empathy and of America – who we are and who we say we are.

Summer 2021 LIVE

Regional Premiere featuring Jada Suzanne Dixon

“Where is my son!?!?” In the middle of the night, a mother frantically paces a police station, desperately trying to pry information about her missing son, Jamal, from evasive detectives. As tensions escalate and the story unwinds, the chasm between Jamal’s interracial parents widens. Winner of the prestigious Laurents/Hatcher Award and a New York Times Critic’s Pick, this explosive new drama examines our nation’s racial divide through the eyes of parents on the brink. With local favorite and Curious Artistic Company member Jada Suzanne Dixon tackling the role made famous by Kerry Washington, American Son will crackle with urgency.
